Music is spread worldwide, so what to take with me to France?

I do have a MACBOOK, but it is not "updated" yet.
My girlfriend gave it to me for my birthday, but all the neccesary tools> ABLETON LIVE , a DAC3 controller and ofcourse MY MUSIC aren't on the HARDDISC yet, there wasn't any time to INSTALL it.
So, now i've CARRIED me again a backproblem, with VINYL and some quickly BURNED cd's, long live the FUTURE for the Macbook .

Music changes and now also the way of playing it changes. I'm NOT a dj who DOWNLOADS music.
I still want the VINYL touch, going to several RECORD-STORES and DIGGING through the CRATES full of RECORDS, to FIND that one song, that one NUMBER, to make the people MOVE and FEEL the VIBE.

HOWEVER!
I must say, WITH my MACBOOK and the right SOFT- and HARDWARE, the story changes. Behind the decks, RECORDING, LOOP and RECREATING a NEW SONG at REALTIME, when i'm dj-ing, it is great AND in the near FUTURE, of got my COMPLETE dance-music COLLECTION with me.
